Agood freind of mine just got released from a lpn program, there policy is if you get less than an 80% on a test, you get one more chance to pass with a higher grade or your out of the program. I feel bad for her because she had already made it a year. Bad thing is this a the program I will probably go to because it bridges back to the rn program after one year.:

At my school, students would fail the program if they averaged below 78 percent.

At my school failing is below 75%, and yes we lost a lot of students in the first semester (10 out of 29). Also, we have to take 2 med calculation tests during each level and we MUST get a 100% on both or we must leave the program. Good luck. This seems to be pretty normal to me!!

Yeah, it is. We had 80% at our school. We started with 32 and ended up with 14 graduating. But 12 of the 14 of us passed boards without a sweat.
My school was complaining about a graduate who passed NCLEX after the 5th try. That makes the school look really bad in the public eye. Most of these schools want you to pass after the first or second attempt.

My school's pass rate is 76 or >. However, this is based upon the tests averaged together, not on individual tests.

Same thing here, you need an 85% on the dosage calculations test or get the boot

Our school had 100% pass rate for 2004. I don't know what the current rate is. I feel good about this though!

The CC I attend the pass rate on test has to be 77 or greater. A comprehensive math test is given for Nursing 1-4 and its mandatory to have a 90% or higher on the test. Reading the other response I can see that I don't have it worst at all. Nursing school is no joke.It takes prayer, commitment and precious time.
