Actually for me, bowties are a better alternative to a regular tie that dangles low and becomes a vector for transmitting infectious organisms. With that said, a scrub top over a dress shirt with a bowtie just seem odd. There are physicians who wear a bowtie with a dress shirt topped with a long white lab coat...it hasn't become a fad because not everyone can rock the look.
When I read the title I pictured the strangest thing in my head... I wish I could draw it and show you guys. As for your question, I don't think that would look presentable unless all the other staff wore the same thing. I wish that I could wear jeans and fitted tees to work. I'd love it.

Is there a good way to incorporate a tie with scrubs? I've been wearing scrubs for all of my adult life and I really hate them. I am really a fan of the tunic/smock style that male nurses in the UK wear and I saw at least one person rock the tunic with a bowtie while I was there. What do you guys think?
