Hi..My job offers 44cents per mile--for reimbursement--is this good or bad? thanks

Standard. I get 41.

I get 0 cents a mile..:(I have to drive 60 miles one way also everyday..120 miles everyday..

Check out the IRS guidelines for it. The IRS has rules where mileage of a certain $$ amount does not have to be called income...you need to be getting at least that amount.

I get 37 cents a mile so yep I would be happy with 44 cents a mile.

We give 48 cents per mile, but then again, our full time nurses get company cars.

I get 40 cents/mile. The IRS says we should get 45. I'd be happy with 44.

It is good but the current allowable reimbursement by the IRS is 48.5 cents per mile which is what 2 of the 3 major agencies in our rural area are paying.

i get 37 cents per mile. 44 is good. :-)

Why on earth would you take a homecare position 60 miles away?

Unless you're talking about a hospital or LTC job, in which I've never heard of any nurses getting reimbursed for distance/per mile.

Even though the IRS stated amount is 48.5 cents per mile, I think 44 cents per mile is reasonable. It beats what I get, nothing. I once was paid mileage, at well below the IRS rate, as an incentive to take on a client that was too far away for them to get nurses to go there. It was foolish on my part to put that much stress on my car for a mileage rate that was not even covering the tanks of gas I had to use to go that far.

I am an APN who gets reimbursed for my miles since I work at several locations - I get $0.485/mile.
