Question in application asks:

"How many years of Nursing experience do you have in an acute care setting?"

Been putting 0-6 mon, but would being a nurse's aide in an acute care setting mean i should count that experience?

No, you shouldn't.

Absolutely not. You will lose all credibility once they figure out you lied.

Specializes in Adult Primary Care.

Definitely, a no.

Specializes in Burn ICU.

nursing experience means literally experience as an RN, LVN, LPN but not an NA.

Specializes in Ambulatory Case Management, Clinic, Psychiatry.
Specializes in Critical Care; Cardiac; Professional Development.

If you weren't working under your own nursing license, it wasn't nursing experience. Not only can you NOT claim it as experience, you need to know that anyone who sees you trying will assume you are a generally dishonest person. Don't do it.

Specializes in Med-Surg, Oncology, School Nursing, OB.

It would be the same as saying I have experience as a doctor when I'm working as a nurse.
