Is anyone applying for or has applied for California State University, Chico State's nursing program? I'm planning on applying for spring 08 and just wanted to know what the cut off points were. I'm so nervous about the whole point system. I've calculated/estimated my total points and it seems like I should be somewhere in between 83-85/100 points. Does anyone know if that's good enough? I highly doubt that's good enough to get me in. I'm just sooooo stress out about never getting in a nursing program soon.
I am in Chico. I am liking the classes but since its the first semester its not that exciting yet. I still kinda feel like I am taking more pre-reqs just because we haven't started clinical's or skills labs yet. But you gotta start somewhere I guess! Other than my two nursing classes I am taking two upper division GE classes for the major so I am still keeping busy none-the-less! Excited about next semester though for sure. :)
well, I got a 89.5% on my Teas, had a 3.8 GPA with A's in every science course and co-req class except stats, and I got 2 points for having 200+ hours of community service and 1 point for work exp. Chico only bases your grades on 2 sciences and 2 GE classes so as long as you have 2 A's in science courses and 2 A's in GE classes then you should be fine. And I would get at least an 89+% on your Teas exam and do community service if you haven't already.
we did..... unfortunately, my roommate has decided to leave for the summer and so now I am back to finding a roommate.....So any fellow Chico nursing students looking for a roommate, I have a free room! heh
Thats to bad, is it permanent or just until fall semester starts up again? That is cool how it happened, and reading it here.
I don't remember the posters name, I think lighthouse something, but I am curious if they ever got in as well. LOL
I am not 100% sure if they look at your gpa... I know you only need a 2.5 to be able to apply and they only take 4 of your highest grades so I'm not real sure.. I mean you should still try and get a high gpa just in case, but as far as getting in as long as you have 4 A's that's probably all you need. :)
