IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Published

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

I would too! Thank you, and I wish you all the best in the nursing program and all of your future endeavours

Thank you

I've looked everywhere in the email and can't find anything to click to say I have received the acceptance letter :( I tried my phone and laptop. Where exactly is it?

Look at your River Mail account directly.

It is just a return receipt request by the author of the email. I am sure it will not prevent you from being part of the program.

Its in small writing. Easy to miss next to a miniature green box at the very top of the email.

Still can't find it . Its okay. Like you said, im sure as long as I make it to the orientation, im good. :)

I found this wonderful little link down at the bottom of the IRSC RN program page. It is the ADN Student Handbook. It is for 2015/2016 and maybe updated before we start classes but it gives great insight into the requirements, responsibilities and the necessary equipment that we will need to begin the program.

Here is a shortcut to the PDF:

I read in a previous forum not to do anything in advance. I would wait until the meeting to get specific instructions and deadlines. You could be wasting your time and end up doing things twice.

I never suggested you do anything, but it doesn't hurt to read a handbook prominently displayed on the website.

Fred, I didn't think you suggested that. It is good suggestion to read the handbook. I thought it was good time to warn everybody what I read.

For the LPN hopefuls, I hope you guys get in as well. Julianne King emailed me back and said we will know "shortly"
