IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Published

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

What do you mean by credits?

I do know there are 48 spots available in the LPN program. I called this morning and was told that by the nursing department. If that's what you were asking.

48! Oh boy ... :(

I just called my advisor Ms. Bracero. You're right, it's usually 48, but they're only taking 36 applicants this semester. My word.

Wow! Nail bitting :(

That's crazy! I wonder why they would do that? I was feeling positive about the 48 since that seems to leave a lot of spots.

I was told by multiple people it was very hard to do this program and work. Unfortunately, I don't really have a choice. So I will be working just not as much.

YOU'RE nail biting! I'm the one with 108! Jesus, help me.

I must have read that acceptance letter 12 times to make sure it said what i think it said.:bag:

Well, I hope we all get accepted.

Congrats everyone that was an exhausting wait can't wait to meet everyone at the mandatory meeting I'm balls happy

I plan on working one or two days a week...I will just see how it goes. How about you?

Just curious,

everyone that got in. Are you all planning to work during the program?

I am more than likely, depending on what they say during orientation, will be leaving my job. Its full time in vero and I doubt they will work with me considering its M-F 8-5. I think I could probably manage a part time job though.
