IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

They should let us know ahead of time if incase some of us didn't get accepted so we can look elsewhere .

Have any of the LPN hopefuls heard ANYTHING? This wait has been longer than I anticipated. When I call the nursing department I get the standard 6-8 week answer. Just wondering if anyone has any update.

I wonder if they mail our letters with this program? I completed the Surgical Tech program a few years ago, and that letter came in the actual mail... Starting to drive myself crazy with all of these random thoughts. Hopefully we get them this week!

I personally think there's a method to the madness. Like, maybe they're waiting to see about the RN students. Some applied to both, so I'm sure they have to sift through which program each person will enter..

I just called again, got someone different in the nursing department. She confirmed that the LPN letters come via Rivermail, and we will receive them 2 weeks from the 1st of October :(

Then as we hung up, she said if you don't get them by the end of this week it will be the end of next week. With any luck they will come this week. I can't imagine there are even 1/2 the amount of applicants for LPN than RN... not sure why this program process takes much longer. Fingers crossed for this week!

I hope we get in girl. I have my back-up plan in place, but my life will be very convenient, if I can just get in here. I'll post as soon as I see the email
