IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

I personally loved Keiser University, but the nursing program is very easy to get into as long as you pass your TEAS and have a B in all your classes. And most facilities will not hire their students. They have a difficult time finding jobs. That's why I switched to IRSC. The school itself has great instructors but their financial department sucks. They charge you for every little thing. And if you have to stop school for say an emergency (like surgery), they will withdrawl you without notice and then charge you for it. I would stick to IRSC if I were you. Better outcomes.

The "fine print" with Keiser is not only having trouble finding employment, but if you want to build upon your RN degree and become a Nurse Practitioner or whatnot, a lot of your courses will not transfer. Watch the next Keiser commercial very carefully. It's literally in the fine print. So in my personal opinion, it's expensive and unworthy. Keep trying for a state college where you can graduate with security.

Today is hopefully the day!!! The anticipation of it is killing me. I've been keeping pretty calm and neutral till today. I'm just hoping we can find out soon if we got in our not. i'm right at the cusp with a 158 overall. Eeekkk!

I am Hair Stylist right now and I have talked to many clients that work in the medical field. Apparently the Keiser nursing program is very easy to get into but the nurses are not up to par with the IRSC nurses. I've heard a lot of them don't pass their NCLEX, whereas most IRSC grads do. Not to mention, it's like 3x as expensive as IRSC. And a lot of the credits will not transfer anywhere else because Keiser is private.

It's based off of the last few semesters, they always seem to get it two weeks after the deadline except the last semester when spring break was in the middle
