IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

It's based off of the last few semesters, they always seem to get it two weeks after the deadline except the last semester when spring break was in the middle

Okay. Well hopefully it is today. I can start making plans depending on these results ...

It is usually the time frame that they have found out the last couple of semesters. It may not be today and may be a couple of days from now...but it does mean we are that much closer to finding out.

Got it. Well the sooner the better. I think it may be longer for LPN applicants

Someone that has applied before says they usually send the notification on the 15th day after the deadline.. today would be that day.. we shall see!

Did everyone take the computer competency test? Is this a requirement?

If you took a CGS course you dont have to take it.

Thank you. I did take the course but it's not checked off on my application. I was a bit nervous!

The computer competency is no longer a requirement.

I have a sinking feeling that they will not send out the emails today. I think they had a much bigger application pool

this semester than other semesters, I don't know if I can handle the stress of waiting any longer!!!

Just because the applicant pool is bigger doesn't mean that everyone even qualified or got a high enough score. They will automatically be excluded. So that leaves fewer applicants to process meaning there is still hope to hear today.
