IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Published

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

I almost just haD a heart attack just now. I got an email with the heading congratulations I opened it. Congratulations you have been preselected to apply for a CITI Credit card. ..omg.. Ahhhh lol My poor nerves

I laughed too hard at this. I did the same thing yesterday.

I knew it. I bet it's next Friday.

7 days=about 5 weeks of stress...... awesome

Why do we only get them on Fridays?

Anyone recommend any other institutions with good nursing programs that i can apply to as a back up?

Palm State College or Broward

Britika,

do you really think that we don't have a chance of getting in?

I mean our scores were pretty good I thought !

Anyone knows anything about Academy of Nusing and health occupations in West Palm Beach off Okeechobee Blvd a friend of mine graduated from there just took her boards and is now a RN. They are approved but not accredited. If being a RN is what you want that's ok I guess. But if you want to advance to BSN MSN ARNP etc you will have to go to a private university like Southern University to advance because credits are non transferable to a government college or university

Also, Fortis Institute, Keiser PSL is the same way; approved but not accredited. Keiser WPB however is accredited. So of your thinking of checking out other schools do your homework all this information can be found at this link just put in the program type and the city, county and profession to narrow it down. Copy and paste this in your browser or click on it, it should take you to the webpage

It could go either way, i'm not as confident as i was after learning about the first preferences to Lpns and Respiratory therapists, along with hearing about all these high scores that other applicants have gotten.

Britika, what were your score?

Are you going for LPN or RN?
