IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Published

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

In the fall they received their letters at the end of March.. if I'm not mistaken..

Is anyone planning on applying at different schools next time, if you don't get accepted for the spring? I was thinking of applying at a few different schools if I don't get in..

We should get emails this Friday. They have been sending them out on the 15th day. Last semester was a little longer because Spring Break was right after the application deadline.

The suspense is killing me!!! I got a 162 total, but I feel like it's going to be super hard this semester. I keep hearing people getting High 140s-150s. I don't know how I can compete.

Ashley, 162 is pretty good. You'll get in so don't worry too much:)

Yeah, if they graduate in December, it makes sense that they would apply in the fall.. otherwise they would be waiting a whole semester to apply for RN..

Lets keep hope alive. I believe LPNs graduate once a year in December. You would think most of them would apply for the Fall.

About how much people you heard got over 140 on the NLN?

Thanks, but I feel like the applicant pool is strong this semester.. I keep hearing 140 and 150 NLN scores! Where are these genius people coming from! LOL!

I know of 3 people personally that scored 145,150, and 155. I really hope they are the outliers and this is not common!

Has anyone ever heard anything good/bad about Keiser University? Just curious. I have talked to two people who have done the nursing program through them and they loved it. It is just so expensive! Just wanted to know everyone's thoughts and opinions on it. Also are there any other schools we can apply for? I know someone had mentioned Palm Beach State College I think??? But wouldn't they have the same residential policy that Indian River does?

I've heard good things about South University and paramount.. :)
