IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Published

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

162 isnt bad at all good luck

I don't know if I got into the LPN program or not. But as my back-up, I'm applying to Palm Beach State as well. That will be quite a commute, but hey ...

I'm applying to PBSC as well and another school in Alabama.

Did anybody take Micro at Pruitt campus Summer II? By reading the some of the posts it looks like some of you did.

Yes I did. Megan Carroll. Highly recommended, just not for summer term.

I did too. I can not say at the moment I regret taken her class during the summer but I did not do as well as I wanted. I got a B in lecture and an A in the lab. I could of done better. Did you take A&P I and Micro at the same time?

Last spring i took A&Pll as well as micro together i had Brad Kay.. and got an A he's a great lecturer

Micro and a+p during the summer is harsh it's gonna require a tin of effort study and time

I took Dr Rumsey for A&P I in summer I and Mrs Carroll for micro in summer II.

I had Dr Kay last spring semester also for Micro! I recommend him to everyone I know!

I took A&P and Micro with labs for summer 2. Once again, don't recommend it at all. I survived with B's in everything, but it took alot of reading, no social activities besides study groups, and cutting back work to only weekends. It's possible. Both subjects require a ton of reading so I had to prioritize. With those classes, Fall term, and the NlN exam, my studying hasn't really stopped. I'm driving down to Palm Beach on the 29th to take my final test for the RN program. Then I'm burning these books. Haha

The only thing about Palm Beach State Rn program is that they require the Hesi A2. And I don't know if it's comparable to the NLN. I'll see and hope so.
