Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)
I just heard back from them. The reason why we can't advance is because the product is not actually finished yet. As of right now chapter 36 and chapter 3 should not have let us advance. The feature is still being worked and does not work yet. They think it might be finished in terms of programming by next semester. If that is the case why did the reps go on about it and raise expectations. So it's not us it's the computer not letting us progress to a higher level.
anaasmum - use this book: Fundamentals Success: A Q&A Review Applying Critical Thinking to Test Taking (Davis's Q&a Success): 9780803627796: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com It was KEY in passing the tests (for me) They format the questions just like the questions in this book. Every now and then (for my class) they even used one of those questions word for word. Definitely worth the $30!!
Sonny6 - the test and material you are reading only overlap for the first couple of tests (at least for my class) then you will be reading material that is on your next test, make sense? Also, there may have been a random math question here and there on the unit test, but hardly. You will have a math calculations test in class in the coming weeks (after all your math HW is completed) and you will need to get a 90% or higher - don't stress, it's not hard if you practice. And you get to retake it if you don't get the 90%.
Hope this helps... again, this was what we experienced in our class... Best of luck everyone!
I believe but don't quote me on this Brittani it was Human Autonomy I, Microbiology, and the NLN for our combined scores. If you look at some of the early posts we talked about it quite a bit.
Thanks! How was the first week for you?! My boyfriend started the PTA program and is pretty overwhelmed himself. I'm sure you guys hit the ground running as well!
