Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)
Has anyone used the PrepU yet? What do you have to do to advance? I can give you the chapter 4 questions verbatim with the answer and cannot get to another level. I get the answers right every single time but still stuck on lvl 1! I must have answered oodles of questions on that chapter and am getting seriously frustrated.
Wanna get together tomorrow annasmum? I'm free all day, my e-mail is [email protected] and my phone number is 352-359-7945, just text if you use my phone number cause I usually don't pick up if I don't know who it is for a phone call.
Could you send me the study guide as [email protected] . I live really close to the panera in palm city if you're still meeting there to study on Tuesday! Let me know. I have notes on practically everything so I would be really up for comparing and making a master study guide :)
Sure would love to. I'll text you.
Hey everyone! Just remembering how overwhelmed I was as Nurse 1 started... Take a deep breath! I didn't breathe until week 6... LOL! Just a helpful tip... my group has a FB group page where most of us are members... we use it daily to share files, fun websites, encouraging quotes, questions about what we are supposed to be doing and etc.... Just a thought... we love ours :)
Best of luck to you all!
That's a great idea. I think the worst part is the anticipation of that first test. Not knowing the difficulty level and format of the questions. At least that's what is killing me right now. I know we were told that they are very different form what we are used to. I just wish we would have a chance to take a few practice type questions made up by the instructors just to see what it is like. If the questions are as ambiguous as the ATI test then I am done for lol. But if they are applying your knowledge similar to the prepU then it might be ok.
I feel the same way, Sonny and annasmum. I hate not knowing and there's so much info! AND on top of that we have to read like 11 chapters for modules this week OVERWHELMED!
If you go into the RN program as an LPN, you start at in nursing 2, skipping nursing 1. Which means you can't start until the Spring when a Nurse 2 class starts.

Your study guide looks good thanks (: I am definitely freaking out you're not alone. I think after the first test we will feel a bit more comfortable like mrs mason said
