IRSC Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)

I have just seen the price of the online book and had a mini heart attack...

Just shy of $1700-00. :(

Oh man. I knew it was going to be expensive but damn :( Not that much. It's more than the class!

fyi everyone: the bookstore in ft pierce is having a midnight madness on August 7th 9pm-12am and you can get 10% off of books, uniforms, etc. it's not a lot but that's 167 dollars off the e-package right there. It may be worth the trip.

just a quick heads up for everyone. convocation orientation is apparently on 8/22 at 9am. just got off the phone with the nursing department. still waiting to hear about the library orientation.

Woo almost there. Just taking the TABE today. The E-textbook I'm going to look to see if It is available while I am at the FP campus.

Good luck for the tabe. Still have to take mine. Can we take that anywhere or does it have to be in FP? Apparently sign up for library orientation is on 8/25 with several dates available.

It was nothing compared to the NLN. But to take the TABE at another campus besides FP you will have to call and make an appointment. FP campus has it every Tuesday at 2:15 in the test center. The E-package will not be at FP campus until August 7. Midnight madness will also be happening August 7 from 9pm-12am 10% off everything in the book store. Good luck!

Ok..is TABE mandatory? Also what about the orientations on 8/22 and 8/25? I better look at the calendar! Whew Im so nervous abuot how Im going to find 3k to pay for everything. All my scholarships havent pannd out yet. D:

I didn't think the TABE was required, is it? Also thanks for the heads up on the midnight madness, I'm definitely going to be there. Any % off the e-book is going to be nice.

OH and has anyone gotten their student ID and parking decal yet? Does it cost anything, just so I have a heads up? Thanks!

Both of those free. I just did mine last week. But you have to pay your course fees before you can get your student ID. I was also under the impression that the test is voluntary. I emailed Mrs. Mason to find out about the tabe test. Once I hear back from her I will post on here.
