IRSC Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

Published

Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)

Well..I'm not immune to hep b so now I have to restart the series. Thank god we have an option to decline until I'm finished with the series.

Can someone do me a favor and send me the math homework sheet? I have been doing them since I got the book and now I've misplaced the sheet that has all the assignments on it :(

[email protected] is my email if anyone can please please please send them. I really want to get them all out of the way before starting!

I've sent you a copy. let me know if it didn't come through ok.

Is anyone else taking the tb gold test instead of the skin test? If so, are you getting the blood taken before the 28th and just getting the results after the 28th? I spoke to someone I the nursing department and she said that we can take it now as long as the results are read after the 28th but that doesn't seem right to me

As I'm reading through these posts, I keep seeing "over all score" Please, can someone explain what that is?

jessica321 I'm doing the TB Gold test because my work can order it for me, which was much easier than finding somewhere to do it for me. I'm going on the 28th to get my blood drawn. I already spoke to Quest and results are available about three days after the blood draw, giving you time to get your physical and the results read by the dead line.

Annasmum, I got it, thanks so much!

And One Arm Jim, points system for the program are based on what grades you received in your A&P I lecture and lab, A&P II lecture and lab, micro lecture and lab, as well as the number of points you earned on your NLN. So when referring to an "overall score", we were adding our scores from those areas. It is explained in the program overview.

Thank you, Acbeisler!

Hello all!

Deadline is quickly approaching and, being an alternate, I still have not ordered books.

I'm looking through my paperwork and there is a lot of math problems that I can not start on without the books.

Is there any way someone could email me the pages with the problems on them? I would really appreciate it!

My email is: [email protected]

Thank you!!! :)

Has anyone heard about the e-books from the bookstore yet? Are they available to purchase? I want to get started on my reading!

Nothing about e-books but what about the RN lab supply tote bag and medication administration pack ? Are those available now in the bookstore ?

Was there yesterday. They might have both early august. As to the math homework. It's quite a bit to scan/read. I would just get the book.
