IRSC Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)

I was in my advisor meeting for like 10-20 minutes because I did not have a lot of questions and I had my unofficial transcript.

It took about 30 mins for me & they basically just go over everything with you again and let you know if you need any more prereqs.

Colive, I got my math book but after reading through it I would really recommend going ahead & ordering it. I can still send you the pages though if you'd like

I'll wait a little bit to see if I hear anything back before I order the book or have you send me the pages.

I'd much rather go ahead and order the books, but all of the instructors said not to order them until we are notified of our acceptance :(

I'll wait another month or a little more and if I don't hear anything, I'd love for you to send me the pages if you don't mind.

I just don't want to find out the week classes start that I'm accepted and then have to deal with that on top of getting books/uniforms and going to class.

I emailed Ms. Camacho and she said it was fine, but I REALLY don't want to have it be the wrong thing and then the week that it is all due have to worry myself and redo it. [/h]

The whole "MISS A DEADLINE, GET DROPPED FROM THE PROGRAM" thing freaks me out hah

I went ti the indian river county health dept. To get a tb test done and they told me they dont do the skin test anymore. They did the blood test (gold) and got a letter saying it was negative. Good luck!

I thought we had to wait until the last week in July to get the tb test done? I am constantly checking my diary to make sure I don't miss a deadline. the next orientation is in on 8/6 for the library, correct? and then another one on 8/11?

Same here, I'm so afraid I'm going to miss one deadline. Got my TDAP shot & Hepatitis antibody surface test done today which I found out is blood work. So I'm done with everything until CPR on June 12th, the physical/TB test in July, getting our nursing student IDs, and then the library meeting in August ! Hope I'm not forgetting anything

When did they talk about the meetings on 8/6 and 8/11?

I don't remember hearing that or writing it down....
