IRSC Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)

Wow $145 for all 3? that's not bad! I'm sure we're all going to be in shock once we see the price of the big package with the 8 books. :/ I have my meeting with the teacher on Wednesday and hep b antibody test Thursday. I can't wait to get all of this done!

Yeah I know I was very surprised ! I decided against the package since I'm paying out of pocket. Just gonna wait on the recommended books for a while

I am in the process of working my way through the calculation book. If you just want the homework pages that's not so bad for the review stuff but I think you should just get the book. There is quite a bit of information in it. They skipped several chapters in terms of homework but you should still read those.

I ordered ALL of the books required and recommended at Barnes & Noble all for less than $496

Just waiting on the ebook package from the bookstore

Just went to the bookstore. According to them we have to wear the zip up tops for lab/clinical. Something about being able to take them off easily if we get something on them.

Annasmum - did you find out anything about the eBook package when you went to the bookstore?

I asked about that too. No information as of yet. They are still working on the summer school classes. The lady did tell me they possibly know more later on in the summer June/July.
