How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.
I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.
Care to share?
Hello Everyone! I am Anna. I start my first semester of a 4 semester RN program next Monday. I am 32 and the mother of 4 girls. They are 13 months, 26months, 8 and 9. I am really excited, but nervous at the same time!
Any advice from you "older" students would be a God send!
Good luck to all!

my advice would be just keep focus on your goal when it begins to get overwhelming. take time for you and your family when you can.
procrastination is not a good thing and remember you can do it!
i wish you all the best.

I've posted a bit, but never officially introduced myself. My name is Sarah, I'm 20, and I'm a sophmore student in a BSN program looking forward to the real nursing stuff next fall once I'm done with pre-reqs (only one more semester)! Good luck to everyone in their journeys to becoming an RN!

Hey everyone. I am Leslie- 32 years young and in my second semester of a 5 semester RN program. I have 2 kids, a husband, 2 dogs, too many cats to count and 3 horses.
Finally got all the ADN academics done(last semester) and am now working on BSN pre-reqs, along with ADN curriculum. I am currently taking Chemistry 105 (pre-req for BSN), Psychiatric Nursing and Adult Nursing I. When not studying I very much enjoy riding horses and spending time with my family. I wish everyone the best of luck!:) I would be very interested in corresponding with fellow students here in Alabama, if you are interested, feel free to e-mail me.
Hi! My name is Jen, I'm 22 and I'm in my fourth year of a BSN program. I am looking forward to June 13th of this year. It is hard to believe it is almost over. I am leaning towards women and infants after graduation. I have a student position on a postpartum unit for a year now. This quarter I am taking high acuity nursing, I will be in labor in delivery. I am very excited. Also I am taking economics, not excited at all. It was nice reading about all of you and your journey through nursing school.
