How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.
I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Hello everyone!!
My name is Leslie and I'm from New Jersey. I hope you all are enjoying your summer thus far! I'm 20... I'll be 21 is 49 days =] haha. I am starting the Nursing program Fall of 07 at the community college I attend for my ASN. I have been there a total of 3 years. (2 years pre reqs and 1 year wait listed.) I am really excited about starting my first semester as a nursing student and of course a bit nervous. This looks like an amazing community and I can not wait to get started posting some more here!
Have a great week everyone!
Take care, Leslie
Hi all,
My name is Katherine, I am a mother of 2 girls 7 & 11. I have been married for almost 9 years now. I am currently a nursing student at the University of Colorado Health Science Center. I am in my Senior year of their BSN program. I am so evcited for what the future holds and cant wait to meet me in two years and see if I am who I want to be.
Hi, my name is Theresa and I am a 40 yo mother of two teenage daughters. I began the nursing program on June 4th after a year of science courses. I am very excited to begin my "second act". I was an accountant/office manager for years but I spent my early 20's as a CNA in home health care. That is where I found my love of nursing. Why I went to school for accounting is a long, bad story but that is over. I am on a wonderful journey and very excited. We were fitted with our (ugly) student uniforms the other day so clinicals are just around the corner. Looking forward to "meeting" other nursing student. Good Luck to all!
Hi, I'm Kat 28 and am in my 1st year coming into 2nd year of Adult Nursing Diploma (hope to finish 3rd year with the degree!). I'm Currently in my second placement on a private surgical ward and from this expirience i know i dont want to specilise in this the pace is very slow! 1st placement was on a NHS medical ward and although it near killed me with the pace i would rather be busy then sit around all day not interacting with patients! (sorry digressed). Think Community or sex sense would be more my bag! Am loving making the move to become a nurse roll on my passport to the world!
Well, my name is Madison, I'm 21, and I am going to start the RN program August '07 and I can't wait. I am so nervous and excited at the same time. All the posts on this site have been so helpful! I am even more geared up for school now! Just someone please remind me when i am so frustrated and run down that I was excited at one point!
