  1. Well I think its about time to hit the gym. :pumpiron: On a serious note, this does acually make me want to work out which isent a bad thing. I was extremly nervous about this whole thing, but if I have to ... I have to. I'll just laugh and try not to think about it. =]
  2. Thanks to everyone for thw wonderful information. I just read the last 45 pages over the last hour and a half. I'm an addict yes. haha I start nursing school in the fall and I cant tell you how much more prepared I feel. =] Thanks to everyone for all the helpful points.
  3. Thank you so much! Your a sweetheart for giving us those lists. I'm just starting the Nursing program in the Fall and I'm sure these will be super useful. I already printed them out and put it in my (Useful) folder. Thanks! Take care, Leslie
  4. I was just accepted into the nursing program for Fall 07. I've been going to OCC for a total of 3 years (2 yrs for preq's and 1 waitlisted) I am really excited and cannot wait to start. I have also heard the program is really hard as well, but you CAN do it. You just have to work extremly hard. There are many ASN programs in NJ. And where I live OCC was the closest. I'm working on my BSN in the mean time between semseters through Kean. If you are a new student there thinking about getting your BSN after. Take classes in between or while you are waiting. Thats the best advice I can give anyone. Hope to see some of you in the Fall! Message me!
  5. Hello everyone!! My name is Leslie and I'm from New Jersey. I hope you all are enjoying your summer thus far! I'm 20... I'll be 21 is 49 days =] haha. I am starting the Nursing program Fall of 07 at the community college I attend. I have been there a total of 3 years. (2 years pre reqs and 1 year wait listed.) I am really excited about starting my first semester as a nursing student and of course a bit nervous. This looks like an amazing community and I can not wait to get started posting some more here. Have a great week everyone! P.S. Good luck Mom2bears! Your going to do great!
  6. Exactly. You hit the head of the nail on this one. Looking at this debate as a new nursing student I can see where everone is coming from. There aren't very many schools in my area that offered a BSN program or I may have just went that route. I was just accepted into the Nursing program for Fall 07 and I have been attending my current school the last 3 years (a county college) The first 2 years for pre reqs and the last year waiting. The ASN program will take me a total of 2 years giving me a total of 5 years for my ASN degree. I plan on pursing my BSN because I like learning and more education never killed anyone. That would give me a grand total of 7 years.... something is telling me I should have become a Doctor. (just kidding ) I really just think we need to keep in mind what BikerDi said. Hey we are all on the same team right? By the way, this is my first post... don't be to harsh, haha. Take care, Leslie
