How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.
I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Hello everyone! What a great forum! My name is Jennifer, I'm married with 3 children and we live in MN. I'm 32 and have decided to go back to school (I have a degree in Corrections) and get my RN. I'm sooooo excited and I can't wait to start school this fall. I have a few classes to take before I can start the program...... so it's going to be a long process, but with 3 kids I guess that's ok for right now!
Nice to meet you all and I'm excited to get to know everyone!
Hi Everyone! I am Jurgita, I had just gotten accepted to the Rush Nursing School Accellerated BSN program (Chicago) to start in Jan 2007. I already have a Bachelors in Accounting and my CPA,too, but decided to change routes in search for my true calling to work in medicine.
Just wanted to add also that I am newly married, no children yet. And I am crazy about salsa dancing!!!
Looking forward to sharing and learning from all of you!
Hey Rhonda,
That's awesome that you work at a clinic in family practice. I heard they usually don't hire new grads into family clinics right away, but usually you have to work in a hospital. It's awesome that you got a job right away. If you have any advice for me, let me know. I need all the help I can get.
Thanks,
Chelse
Hi everyone! I am new to allnurses.com! I will begin nursing school in August at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC. I have been married since October of 2001 and have a two year old son. I have a BS from Meredith College in Business Administration, but decided after having my son that the business world was not for me. I am hoping to graduate in May of 2008 from CFCC!
