Fingerprint card from Cal, valid in New Mexico?

I'm a nurse from the Philippines, planning to take the nclex exam next year. I understand there is a fingerprint card we need to send aside from the application forms. My problem is I don't know how and where I can get these fingerprint cards. My classmates who applied already said their relatives from the US sent them the fingerprint cards they used when they applied. I don't have relatives in the US who can send me these fingerprint cards. My classmate has offered to give me an extra fingerprint card she has but she is not sure if they are valid because they are from BON Cal and I'm planning to apply for BON New Mexico. I also heard these fingerprint cards can be downloaded now. Is this true?

No. The card CA BRN sends already has their name and address printed on it as the requesting agency so it's solely for their use and if you go to NM BON's website they do not issue fingerprint cards anymore. Please go to NM BON website for details and instructions. You have to get an FBI card yourself.

Just want to add that although it says there that you can print it, I have word that the NBI doesn't accept this printed version and prefers the real f.card. (the hard one). Maybe, they don't know yet that this is allowed already or something. You may try though but if you have the means to get an FBI hard card that hasn't been filled out yet by the requesting agency, i.e. CA BRN, then that would be better.

Try email the BON of NM for the fingerprint cards. Good luck!

When I emailed NM BON recently (as our police do not accept the downloaded forms) they said they no longer issue the cards. You have to request through the FBI site.

This would be the best thing to do indeed as it is turning out that the printed version is not accepted by the authorities responsible for fingerprinting as of yet.

I can't go to US embassy because I live in the province but my mother, I think, is scheduled to go to Manila next, next week. Maybe she can get more than 1 fingerprint card, for my friend too? Hehe :)

If you go to the US Embassy, just make sure to bring with you the NM BON form as they might want to see it.

Kind of on the same lines....... does anyone know if you have already had your fingerprints done on the FBI card for New Mexico would you need them done again if endorsing to Florida?

I have to share my experience because I am also applying for NM. I brought with me paper forms and the NBI did not accept it and they said that I should go to the US embassy here in Manila to get one. Good thing I have one in CA so I accomplished the CA instead but me and my friend have not yet applied for CA. Also a reminder, it is said in the requirements in NM that you need two (2) of this cards accomplished, not one (1) so better ask for two cards when you apply for NM. California of course only needs 1. Hope you read this before your mom goes to the embassy. She might ask for one but you need two (2) in NM. Hope the info help.
