I was wondering if anybody has signed up with AVANT HEALTHCARE PROFFESIONALS, a USA based agency for NURSES and PTs, which currently sponsors NCLEX-passers. Any updates with your application?

I have started this thread thinking we could update on the process that you are undergoing since US visa bulletin is fast moving.

For those who signed up with AVANT, please. Share your experience with them here.

Thank you!

Sorry guys for not giving you an update on my journey so far with AVANT Healthcare Professionals.

I had my exit interview on Feb 4, 2016 and have been in the US since March 12.

I sat for the NCLEX-RN on March 30 and I am now a US RN.

Today is my last day in the transitions program at AVANT corporate office in Orlando, FL.

It's been a smooth journey so far and I'm looking to commencing my assignment by the end of the month.

@Auschris,congratulation,any surprise in terms of the contract term? please if you dont mind, you can send a mail to [email protected], please i will ask you questions.thanks. censon

Hi i'm a pediatric nurse from Philippines. I had my skype interview with one of their recruiters and just took their competency exam for Pediatrics (since it's my area of specialty) and luckily I Passed it (80.80%). I'm currently waiting for the results if I will be accepted to their program. Moreover, I don't have NCLEX yet and they said that they are going to sponsor my cgfns, nclex exam and the airfare to US if ever and all the necessary fees along the way til greencard application. Sounds too good to be true, and I'm overwhelmed!! Anyone here experienced the same or had been a succesful client of Avant? Thank you so much!!!

Hello nurse.khaleesi! I am a Filipino RN like you, I work in the ER. You are right, it all seems too good to be true but I want to encourage you that Avant is 100% legit. I together with my five colleagues started with the process in February 2016 and so far, the whole process is going smoothly. We've signed the contract with them, sent them the necessary documents and now I am in the process of CES with CGFNS. Avant paid for it and it's worth P17,000.00 haha. Also, yesterday, I received the review materials for NCLEX plus an mp3 player with recorded lectures.

I couldn't contain my happiness because the dream I thought to be hopeless is now becoming a reality. Just be very keen on furnishing them with the required documents and constantly communicate with them for updates. They follow a specific timeline for each applicant so just be patient and check your email every now and then so you won't miss anything.

They are legit but the pay is not competitive so I didn't pursue. I took a different agent and this time, the rate is competitive and almost as it should be to where you will be assigned. The offer was $25.00/hr in an expensive city but with the other agent, it was 30.00/hr plus geographical allowance of $1.25. Good luck to all.

Hello Fish4jibs. You probably didn't read the contract thoroughly. Sorry we're not supposed to divulge specific information about that here but the $25.00 hourly rate stated in the agreement doesn't mean that that's what you'll get once placed. The $25.00 hourly rate is only a guarantee that if you're placed in a state where the minimum hourly wage for nurses is below $25.00, you'll still get $25.00 or more. The same goes if you're placed in a state where the hourly wage is higher than $25.00, you'll get more of course.

DO THEY ACCEPT new graduated nurses as well?

They require at least a year of post graduate experience to consider you.

Hi I am a registered nurse from Philippines. I had an interview with Avant and now I will be taking an IELTS exam within 90 days cuz they require me to take the exam. I just want to ask if is it Avant who will choose which state do I apply for NCLEX since they will shoulder the exam's cost? Thanks

I am not sure if Avant will pay for NCLEX and other requirements however, I know for a fact that it is Avant who'll chose the state where you'll take the NCLEX. It won't hurt asking them about the exam fee. Just send them an email and someone will get in touch with you to clarify that. So far, they haven't asked us to pay anything yet. The CGFNS processing fee and the review materials were all paid by Avant.

Hello kisheen, I don't have an exact date for the exam. Right now, I am processing my CES verification of license and professional education with CGFNS and have also received the review materials through a shipment from the US. I am waiting for the next step, which I think is joining an NCLEX study program that would prepare me to take the NCLEX RN exam.

Just wait for an email from one of their agents. They have different timelines for each applicant and once it's your turn, you'll definitely hear from them again.

thanks mikeru22, is it fine if i will get your email,i just want to ask some specific details.im also processing me ces report but havent signed with them yet.

Hi everyone - I am an ER nurse from New Zealand and am with Avant. I can attest that their NCLeX prep program is excellent - they send you all the materials (books, MP3 lectures and online assignments) and will not let you sit the NCLEX until you are ready. I signed up with them Sept15 and sat NCLEX March16 (and passed!) We filed March31st and am now just waiting for our priority date to be current. Thats the tough part - waiting for priority date to be current. Rest of world it is about 4 months but I know Phillipines and India and China you could be waiting 8years for your priority date to be current!! They are a great team and very supportive and yes they pay for everything!
