Hello everyone,
I would like to ask someone's advise, any suggestions and additional information about the application for the NCLEX RN exam in California.
I' am a registered nurse in the Philippines. I graduated in 2010 of April and I took my Local Board exam in July 2010 and passed it. I got my License in September 2010 and began working as a Staff Nurse and in the year 2013 i got a job offer abroad (middle east) and I worked as Staff Nurse too. I moved here in California in May 2017 since i got married to American citizen. Now, I really wanted to pursue my career working in a hospital setting. I tried to work as a caregiver but I realized that this kind of job is not my passion. I already submitted an online application thru Breeze ca. com. I attached all the Documents needed like (PRC License, Nurse Certification, Diploma,Online Application form-RN and Copy of my Finger printing with receipt and I paid 150 USD to BON site). I requested from my University to provide me all the Documents like ( Minor and Major cases, Academic calendar, RLE, TOR, Diploma, and Forms from BON site) and my school sent it already to Sacramento BON office. I'm checking my Breeze account everyday and my status always showing pending and every time I click Detail button it shows status Open. They gave me a RN file number and i dont have any idea at all what does it mean? I know that it would be really hard to be approved by Ca BON to get an ATT due concurrency issue. If im gonna opt for LVN route are there any possibilities to be approved by BVNT and get my ATT or Do i need to study also? Please help me. Im open, any suggestions, comments and additional information?. Thank you and Godbless!!

Hi,
With regards to the OR/DR cases you've had , is there any form that the school needs to complete to show this or you just ask then to send your cases to them?
Thank you
Hello Osis,
Cases? No theres no form for the cases. I just told the secretary of the Dean of Nursing to send my cases together with my TOR, Diploma, RLE, academic calendar.
Yeah, do you know how many minor/major cases we need to provide with the nclex application??
With regards to your question on NCLEX-PN all you need is a CGFNS-CES evaluation. Im already done with my NCLEX-PN requirements I'm just waiting to take the test next month. Here is a link for
you to read if you are interested :

Major- 5 cases , Minor-5 cases, Actual deliveries- 5 cases, Deliveries assisted-5 cases. I applied for the NCLEX RN
Congratulations on your success Osis! Can i ask you some question?
1. Did you have any concurrency issue on applying to be an LVN?
2. What year did you graduate? and from what school?
3. Were you required to take IELTS or TOEFL when you applied for CGFNS NLCEX LVN? thanks.
There were no concurrency issues when I applied for the NCLEX-PN exam. Although I suggest that before you submit your application to BVNPT have your CGFNS-CES Evaluation started as well because they are requiring it now. I wasn't aware of that when I did my initial application for the PN exam. They started requiring that I think about Nov of 2013 and I did not see that on the required document list when I completed my forms lol.
There's no need for IELTS or TOEFL for CGFNS what they need are a copy of your TOR sent directly to them by your school, your highschool diploma, license verification from PRC and payment of $250. ( Im not sure if I miss anything just go check their website)
And by the way, I graduated 2009 from Saint Louis Univ. in Baguio City. How about you ?
Thank you for your information. It is very helpful. One more question, please. Did you submit your work experience when you applied? I have worked in the Philippines for 3 years and in middle east for 3 1/2 years but contacting my old supervisors and getting them to write detailed reports on my work seems to be a huge task and would rather not do it if it's not needed. Oh, by the way I graduated from Univ. of Perpetual Help DALTA 2010.
It depends on how you would like to meet the requirements for method 3. What I did was equivalency through nursing education cause I know contacting the school where I graduated is easier than having my past employers complete the required form.

Hi Good day osis! I just wanna ask if cgfns will mail my school to send my transcript to them or I will be the one sending a request for my school to send my transcript to Cgfns? Thankyou. I really appreciate for your reply soon.
