International graduate waiting for BON response

World Registration

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask someone's advise, any suggestions and additional information about the application for the NCLEX RN exam in California.

I' am a registered nurse in the Philippines. I graduated in 2010 of April and I took my Local Board exam in July 2010 and passed it. I got my License in September 2010 and began working as a Staff Nurse and in the year 2013 i got a job offer abroad (middle east) and I worked as Staff Nurse too. I moved here in California in May 2017 since i got married to American citizen. Now, I really wanted to pursue my career working in a hospital setting. I tried to work as a caregiver but I realized that this kind of job is not my passion. I already submitted an online application thru Breeze ca. com. I attached all the Documents needed like (PRC License, Nurse Certification, Diploma,Online Application form-RN and Copy of my Finger printing with receipt and I paid 150 USD to BON site). I requested from my University to provide me all the Documents like ( Minor and Major cases, Academic calendar, RLE, TOR, Diploma, and Forms from BON site) and my school sent it already to Sacramento BON office. I'm checking my Breeze account everyday and my status always showing pending and every time I click Detail button it shows status Open. They gave me a RN file number and i dont have any idea at all what does it mean? I know that it would be really hard to be approved by Ca BON to get an ATT due concurrency issue. If im gonna opt for LVN route are there any possibilities to be approved by BVNT and get my ATT or Do i need to study also? Please help me. Im open, any suggestions, comments and additional information?. Thank you and Godbless!!

Hi Good day osis! I just wanna ask if cgfns will mail my school to send my transcript to them or I will be the one sending a request for my school to send my transcript to Cgfns? Thankyou. I really appreciate for your reply soon.

If cvs then CGFNS will send for it. If CES then you need to arrange with school to send it

Hi Good day osis! I just wanna ask if cgfns will mail my school to send my transcript to them or I will be the one sending a request for my school to send my transcript to Cgfns? Thankyou. I really appreciate for your reply soon.

If you are applying for CES , upon registration to CGFNS you will be given a list of documents that you need to print out and one of these document is the "REQUEST FOR TRANSCRIPT" . You need to send this to your school so they can fill it out and send it directly to CGFNS together with a copy of your TOR.Hope this answers your question :)

Cvs is just for New York. As far as I am aware that is just a collection of required paperwork and the BON reviews it. CES is an actual breakdown of your transcripts performed by CGFNS

Hi guys! I also recently moved to Cali and sent in my application last August for NCLEX-RN. I graduated Batch 2007 and applied to CABRN right after and got my eligibility letter on 2008. However, I wasn't able to take the exam as I started working overseas in the aviation field and got busy traveling around the world! Now that I settled down and moved here, I decided to pursue my Nursing career again. And now I found out about everything that happened about concurrency and stuff. I still decided to try my luck. They just cashed my check last October 12 and I'm now patiently waiting for a reply. I'm ready no matter what is the reply and my back up is to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam. I already have a job lined up for either of the two so I'm being optimistic and reading this forum everyday has helped me a lot in my journey. Goodluck to all of us!
