Hi all,
I recently read a thread here about what the best kind of nursing job is for a INFP personality. It was very interesting reading! I was just wondering, to those of you who have worked in a hospital environment, which profession do you think would be the best fit for INFP?
Nursing
Rad Tech or
Resp. Therapy?
Thanks for your insight!

I'm seriously not getting this personality stuff. Work where your passion lies. That is where you will shine!
IMO, it's like saying a Capricorn shouldn't be working in OR because she is more suited for ED because of her birthdate.

Any personality can be happy in any profession. It's a matter of using what you bring to the profession to help things work for you. There are many different specialties and roles within nursing. There are roles and jobs that fit every personality type. Find the one that suits you best.

Disagree. Astrology puts a label on someone and says "this is how you should think/act/feel." Personality tests look at how a person thinks/acts/feels, and then gives them a label to go with that.
Apples & oranges.

Thanks ktliz, I'm glad someone thinks so too :)
I'm just finished all my prereq's and am now able to apply to one of the health programs at my community college and am trying to research those 3 professions as much as I can before choosing one. I have done some job shadowing and that was helpful but thought maybe people that are knowledgeable of the hospital environment would have an opinion about which job would be the best fit for INFP's.

Hi there INFP :)
You may have read this, but just in case:

I haven't worked in a hospital yet (I'm a pre-nursing student, working on my CNA) so I'm not sure how qualified I'd be determining which area would be best for you. From what I read, probably an area where you can have your independence while also avoiding routine work.
I'm an INFJ btw, so we're very close in personality type! Good luck in whatever you decide. Always follow your :heartbeat in whatever you do.

Is the "High Definition Personality Type" supposed to emphasize the "high" part???? Seriously- do what you're interested in
This personality stuff is just as labeling. Many people see themselves in astrology mumbo jumbo as well. I see myself in just about all those personalities, so where would I work?
JMO, as everyone has one, I just wouldn't limit my options because of this.

the both of us would be doing what we're interested in, and not listening to some information by someone who doesn't know us
pretty soon there will be an app (or whatever) to tell us all when to fart.... :)

If you find a job in nursing where you can have your independence and avoid routine work, let me know. I want to work there!
