I am a male nursing student. I work as a tech at a medsurge unit in a local hospital where I am completely infatuated with a female nurse. She is my age, incredibly pretty and flirts with me like crazy. When we work the same shift I find it hard to focus on anything but her. I want to ask her out. I am just starting in health care and I just have no idea what is appropriate or not in this situation.
I grew a pair and asked her out for drinks after the end of our shift yesterday. It was beautiful, just beautiful. I appreciate the counsel posted on this thread. Very grateful.
Nothing like it...Love. I had a similar relationship a few years back. She was about twenty years younger than me but when we worked together it was like magic. Go for it my son.
It might be the beginning of a beautiful.....whatever.

My policy is that if a girl is not at least 20 years younger than me she is not getting asked out. I actually aim for at least 25 years younger.......so my favored range is between 18 and 23
Now if she is 99 with 10 million bucks and does not have any concept of a prenup...I will ask her out too......

20 years younger than me still makes them some teenager's mother.

There's an old saying, "Don't S*** where you eat." I made this mistake of asking out one of my coworkers. I found out the hard way that gossip spreads like wildfire and part of your personal life somehow becomes public/ work place knowledge. If you're okay with this, than go for it! This is just my own experience and it may not be the same experience for you. Do what you feel is right.
