moderator note: this is a continuation of a previous thread that was very long and split by member request. this thread is primarily for current student discussion. there is another thread of faq: https://allnurses.com/distance-learning-nursing/isu-faq-thread-365878.html

we had to take micro, stats, math, biology, couple of humanities, etc, etc. maybe she meant that's just the one specific to nursing, as in in addition to the rest of the gen eds? anyway, good luck on both your applications!

live&love if you go to the blackboard with the nurs challenges on there it will give you the books that you can use to study from. It includes the pages and all, as well as an outline it may help to scan over to go along with your study guides

:) I passed mental health too!!! :)

Where is everyone located??? I'm located in California...

:( I have 3 tests and 1 TEAS...i'm really starting to get a little nervous about the fact that the deadline for the spring application is coming up!!!

weirdangel: congrats on passing your mental health exam!

I am taking TEAS today, and then my last CLEP I need on Tuesday. Then off to the nursing exams. It's going to be a busy few months, but I have faith that we can get it done!!

I'm in IL now, but when I started this program I was in CA. (husband is military; we move...a lot LOL)

WEird angel I feel your pain. But we can do it if we focus. Maybe we can start study sessions for the test that we have left to do. I think I made this suggestion before this may help us increase our confidence levels and get thru this together.

luv2nurse02: thanks for the tip! i'll definitely check out the blackboard online to get some pointers.

weirdangel: congrats on passing mental health! :) i'm in california too!

i'm so sad. i'm in a bit of a dilemma.....

i just graduated and got my papers to take my nclex. i was hoping to test out of the challenge exams, take my nclex, take the teas, and clep that last lifespan developmental psychology class all before the the november 1st deadline.

however, i just read the website regarding their nursing challenge exams and it says

"only students who have a valid state lpn/lvn license are eligible. "

so, i probably wont be in the same semester as all of you. :(

if i do however, pass my nclex next month, i will have only 2 months or less to pass the challenge exams. i don't know if that's enough time unless i study in tandem for the challenge exams and the nclex since the material is basically the same. perhaps it may even re-enforce the the content of my review.

what do you all think?

Also, how hard is the TEAS exam? Is there a book or website to help study for this exam?

Hi I want to sighn up for isu, but can anyone tell me what clasese i can clep out of before i sighn on I would really appreciate it thanks:up:

Im planning to enroll for Spring 2010! I have to test out for Intro to Computing and i believe im ready to enroll to the Nursing Program. I still have to arrange for my transcripts to be sent to ISU asap!

Do I have to finish all the 4 CSM's before the Nov. 1st deadline? Thanks! I hope I can keep in touch with Spring 2010 students through this site.

I am trying to apply for Spring 2010. I'm from California. I purchased the CSM's through TCN. I still have to test out of Intro to Computing. I know I've read the procedure, but I may be too overwhelmed since the deadline is coming. I have to submit ALL the immunization records, background check, and the works before Nov. 1st right? Can I take the TEAS now? When do I purchase the ATI's? I'm confused about setting up a proctor for taking what tests...

I've been set back 3 weeks by the BVNPT because of my name change so I'm taking care of getting my license. AArrggh I have less than 2 months to figure this out. Can you guys help me? I'm really relieved to find fellow future (hopefully for me) ISU students. Thank you!

Oh I posted twice! Haha. Anyway, I printed out the info so I can read it better. Well I have a lot of errands to run this week! Especially the immunization thing. I could use more organization in my life.

Just wanted to check in with everyone! How are we all doing on getting our pre-reqs done?

I am getting ready to take Care of the Childbearing Family and enrolling in a Chemistry course; that CLEP was no joke....didn't pass, but that is ok; have a class I can take that meets requirements.
