Mario.... I havent gotten any paperwork yet and I have a question for you.... Do you have the term end date or finals date anywhere for December? THX...

:balloons::balloons::balloons: well the interview is over, what a relief. my interview lasted almost one hour fortyfive minutes. i was give a financial aid package, a business card from the assistant dean and the name and author of the text intro. to nursing one of the 1st classes. i was indirectly told i was accepted, but not told directly. i guess the paper work still needs to flow thru the usual channels. i felt as if my interview went extremely well. we talk about my schooling, work, experience in the medical field as an emt. we discussed my plans for further education and i even mentioned how there was so many positive notes on the school thru various forums. the receptionist said that my interview last longer than most. i was also told a full package would be sent soon. uniform dates, a physical, bls certification, book list to be provided, orientation date. i was essentially interviewed by the assistant dean and the 1st level leading instructor. i went well prepared to answer questions. i think we all know why and thank you. even though most of the interview was about my previous work experience with patients. i do not have a firm answer yet, but i feel so confident on how things went that i will start shopping for that book and send in the financial aid forms. a fafsa application is also required. i already filed that with beth israel as the school many months ago. talk about assuming. now how do we figure out, who is who the first day of school, which is at the end of august? so happy !!!!!!!!!!!!!:biere::cheers:

i got my acceptance package yesterday!!! :balloons:

i'm glad to hear that your interview went so well, and that you're basically in! congratulations! it's going to be a lot of fun the first day of classes... trying to figure out who is who!

uniform fitting is on july 18th between 2-7pm, and i won't be able to make it... i'll be on my first cruise! (so excited!) anyway, i'm hoping they'll let me come in another time. if not, i'll guess what size should fit best. my friend tells me that different brands fit differently, and she gave me advice as to what size i should wear.

is anyone going to the karpas summer institute?

:balloons::monkeydance::balloons::monkeydance: congratulations on becoming totally official and to top it off with the cherry on the cake first cruise!!!! wow sounds like you are going to have a great summer. i was told i may have to take the math refresher at karpas 3 weeks in the summer, free. since i did score low in math. i said that sounds great and even greater if there is no charge. i am thinking so positive that i even wrote down the uniform date in my calender to make sure i am available that date. oh!!! i was also told to enjoy my summer because when we start we will be very busy and constanly challenged. have fun:smiley_aa:yelclap::smiley_aa:yelclap::smiley_aa

thank you! i leave for the cruise in 26 days and counting :-) i am going to enjoy this summer to the fullest! i was thinking about taking my kids to disney world in early august, but after spending so much money on the cruise and school, i think i'll save it for next summer... assuming we get some sort of summer break.

i'm taking the science refresher because i scored the lowest on that. it's free, but you have to give them a $50 refundable deposit that they'll give back when it's over. i think i scored 38/40 in the math... so if you ever need any help... don't be afraid to ask.

thanks, I just did not study enought for the math section. I could have scored much higher if I would have given math as much time as I did science and english. I thought these class are in the summer. Does that mean we take them next summer? Unsure.

yes, these classes are given in the summer... math is first (july 17-20), then science (july 24-27), then computers (july 31-aug 3).

Congrats to all Fall 2006 BI students! :balloons:

I finally got my acceptance letter yesterday. Prior to BI's letter, I got acceptance into another nursing program closer to my home. After much praying about what was best for me, I decided to go with the other program. I made myself so crazy this year working to get into a nursing program with the fear that I would have no choices.

I sent my official decline letter today to Beth Israel, knowing someone is patiently waiting on a waiting list and I don't want to hold up anyone's happiness.

I'm starting with St. Vincent's CMC in the Fall and I'm very excited. By the time I graduate, it will probably have a different name since another "private educational institution" (I have no idea who) will be taking it over in two years. I have a 20 minute commute and the hospital where they do clinicals is in walking distance from where I live.

I want to wish all of you well and thank you for the support you have given me during the admissions process.

Take care,

Barbara
