hi if you were called in for an interview or accepted into the philips beth israel school of nursing in new york city please reply and if you do not mind post your ad percentile and your overall composite score from the nln exam. i am trying to get an idea of what range of scores is being called. i am still waiting and ready to jump. :selfbonk: i greatly appreciate it. today is 4/23/06
Good luck flatonyc on your interview! I'm not sure if you're going tomorrow or the same day when I go (Tuesday, 5/16).
Thanks NYAussie for including the interview focus. It is extremely helpful.
I'm going with an open spirit and praying for the best outcome. I had no idea the nursing school admissions process would be so challenging.
After I left BI's open house, I knew they were my first choice. I just loved the place.
Hi Mario.I was thinking about you this week and wondering if they called. My fingers are still crossed for you.
Hi Helen, thanks for your positive thoughts, I am still waiting. I guess I am reserve or something like that. They told me I am still in the running. Not to give up. I have mail out letters to them and emailed them, letting them know I am here. Any day now as they say.
HiI applied and have not heard from them. I believe my composite score was 127. I took the test last May. I'm sorry I didn't retake the test after seeing some of the scores posted. I'm afraid that score may not be high enough.
Good Luck to you!
I believe you may be right, we need higher scores. Even though I was told I was still in the running, I still see it as no interview. I have to get into the mind set of studying for the NLN again and waiting another year for Beth Israel. I am sure by then tuition will be more. I will focus more on Math and Physics on the NLN this time around, not getting any younger here. Maybe with luck they will still call my composite was 124 not far from each other . Good luck to you as well.
Hey partyatmarios,
I got a call from BI on the 24th and had my interview scheduled this coming tue....I also know that they are still interviewing on the 8th so I think you still have a pretty good chance of getting a call so dun worry because remember not all ppl interviewed will decide to go to BI.....like me up till this point I still have no idea which school to choose.....by the way for my NLN my composite percentile score for AD was 91 with a composite score of 132.
Best luck of all!!!

Good luck on your interview coming up on the 8th please let us know how it goes. The school keeps telling me to be patient and that my application is not denied? Simply torture
Hi, I interviewed with PBI on May 15th, and they said that letters are sent out about 3 weeks after, so I should be getting something soon. Has anyone heard anything yet?
I thought a person was accepted soon after their interview by a telephone call. Are they now saying that they will mail out acceptance letters or denial letters?

Yes, someone was accepted over the phone... I missed that one.
During my interview, they said I should be hearing from them in about 3 weeks, and their website states: "All candidates will receive a decision from the Admissions Committee in writing within three to four weeks following the interview." I guess maybe I'll receive something next week?

hi flatonyc
Just know where you want to be in Nursing in 5/10 years and why you chose BI, why Nursing and everything should be fine. I met with two different people, it took around an hour and a lot of the time they were telling me about the school's past, future and discussing the program in depth. You'll do fine. They all see like wonderful people who really care about your future. I already feel honored to be going there!
Good luck!
