This is just for the purpose of getting updated or informed and do note that nothing is absolute and in fact things are very fluid or volatile when it comes to immigration matters.

I have a question! me & my family were done with our interview at Phil US embassy last November 17, 2006. Unfortunately, we were not issued a visa coz i lack 2 important documents: employment contract and visascreen. now that i have these 2 documents in my hands just now, what will be the scenario if i will submit it to the embassy?
PLS.... anybody can shed light.....
thanks!

I would image that at the moment even once you submit your documents you will have to wait for a visa and retrogression to be lifted
As Anna said, yes it has to be accepted by both the House and the Senate.
However, I do observe some thing good going on as this time it is the House that is active and in fact have beaten the Senate in introducing their own version of the CIR when prior press releases said that it was the Senate, led by Sen. McCain and Kennedy who was on the lead on introducing their version of the CIR.
I hope this is a good sign.

was your application suspended or denied?
if it was suspended it means that retrogression shouldnt affect you you should be able to submit the additional evidence and get your visa as a number should have been saved for you
If it was denied then you will be stuck in retrogression im afraid
the embassy should have given you a form at the embassy which states which happened at your interview.
good luck :)

lawrence01 thank you so much for your continued work in informing all the nurses who are affected by retrogression like myself. In your opinion lawrence01 do you think the strive act has a chance of being approved or is a very slim chance. Have been following its progress on Fox news.
I honestly could not say but I hope it does. Everything seems to be so ripe for the lack of a better term but no one really knows at this point.
Here is writing with info on a U.S. Bill "Nursing Relief Act of 2007"
I guess they intend to call the new nonimmigrant visa type as "W1" ?

If this happens it can open the doors wider for qualified foregin nurses to work in the U.S.
