Hi everyone... I'm a newly grad and want to be a nurse in Canada. I would like to know, how can I take CRNE? Do I have to go to Canada to take one? We already have NCLEX here in the Phil but I dont know if there's a CRNE here! I hope you can help me.. It would mean alot to me.. thank you in advance!

I'm really not sure if the CRNE exams are held back home (I'm a filipino too, living here in vancouver).
However, if you are an incoming immigrant here in canada, filing for the exam (well, here in vancouver) is pretty easy. Passing it, on the other hand, is another story.
They require you to be a registered nurse in the ph, and you must already have passed the IELTS exam (6.5 average, no grade lower than 6 with a score of 7 or higher in the speaking test).
Then they will assess your TOR, then you have to pay some fees and stuff. All of it are on the CRNBC website (CRNBC.ca).
The CRNE is really different from the NCLEX... lol, i'm so happy they removed the short-answer questions.
hmm.. what else?Oh, i'm going to take the CRNE this coming october 10.wish me luck hehe
sorry i'm not much of a help, if you have any questions, well, you can just pm me here or email me
thank you soundbites.... God bless on your exam!!!! I hope you'll pass!!!!

There are numerous threads both here and on the International Nursing board about emigration, exams and other practical matters. If you use the search feature, I'm sure you'll find all your answers have already been posted somewhere.

thanks for those who anwered this thread! this is also my query. im also a recent board passer, and also confuse on what to do next. congrats and good luck to us lenjoy!
if you are in the Philippines right now, i strongly suggest you take the IELTS there. why? #1 - it less expensive (rather than taking it here in canada); #2 - alot more books and reviewers are available there.
And #3 - the CRNBC requires you first to pass the IELTS exam in order to file for the CRNE. They will mail back your forms if a copy of your result is not included in it..
