  1. Hi everyone, Me and my wife are thinking about relocation to a family friendly livable city in US with warm climate. We are from Vancouver Canada area, both of us are RNs but my wife has been a stay home mom for last few years (and going to keep doing it for another couple years). We have 3 kids who need elementary school, I will be looking for a full time position in critical care. We will be looking at buying a house too. In the mean time we were looking at SF California area and central Florida... What would you suggest? Thanks!
  2. Has anybody heard something about working in the South Nassau Communities Hospital? I have an offer from dilysis of this center, so any comments or rumors are very wellcomed!
  3. After CRNBC finishes its evaluation of your application and approve it, you receive the temporary registration. Than you have several month to pass the CRNE.
  4. Check this out: http://www.healthmatchbc.org/HMBC_nurses.asp?pageid=658
  5. This how it works in BC: http://www.healthmatchbc.org/HMBC_nurses.asp?pageid=658
  6. I am about to apply for work permit and have contacted both VCH and Fraser. Don't know which is better... Have anyone worked in a Fraser hospital in Vancouver area? Any comments, opinions about work conditions, benefits or specific facilities? May be you can compare that experience with other hospital?
  7. As far as I understand, you need no agent in order to apply for immigration as a RN. Just apply for a nursing regulatory body of a province and than apply to a health authority of that province (for immigration or work permit). Check this out : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp And this for British Columbia : http://www.healthmatchbc.org/HMBC_nurses.asp?pageid=658
  8. Hello! I have an offer from GF Strong Vancouver, BC. Any information, comments and even rumors about this facility are kindly wellcomed.
  9. Yes, it helps. TNX.
  10. What about shifts. Are they the same everywhere, 12 hours? Or it is internal policy of each facility/ health authority?
  11. Different for good or for worth, or till the death part...
  12. I am looking for info about wages, work conditions and different facilities. Info from the battle field.
  13. I am looking for more nursing forums. Please share links!
