i'm a registered nurse in canada and usa. i visited usa many times. few years ago my ultimate goal was to work and live in usa. canada is the best for me specifically metro vancouver. i like the working conditions and universal healthcare.

requirements of a foreign nurese?
a foreign nurse must be a registered nurse in a country where she/he graduated from.

NY Licensure by endorsement from CA
in order to apply for licensure by endorsement in NY you must be a registered nurse and hold a current licensed card in CA. It takes several weeks for california to send ur NCLEX result.

US needs foreign-trained healthcare workers
i prefer a nurse who is competent. it does not matter what nationality the nurse belong as long as he/she works within the professional standards of nursing care.

i think arizona, new mexico and vermont required local license. check their website what are the requirements.

Where else can I work without a local license?
hospital wont accept you as a volunteer nurse if you dont have a local license. you can not endorse u.s. license for local license and can not practice nursing in the philippines.

is local license required for visa screen certificate? i just wondering why the CGFNS required the june 2006 batch to retake part of the NLE last june.

you must apply to hawaii board of nursing or other states board of nursing for licensure to be eligible to write nclex.

if your out of legal status there is no way that you can be sponsored by hospital.

you need to call them. there is no way you can check in their website unless you are registered nurse in california.

Getting Tx nursing license
yes, first they will give you a temporary license, then after few weeks you will receive your permanent license. license is valid for two years and renewable every two years.

you need to apply again for your eligibility to write NCLEX.
