CA's eligibility is valid up to 2 years ...

hi suzanne! im quite confused w/ the procedure in application for licensure exam...for example i passed the CA nclex-rn & got the official letter that i passed the test & need to submit ssn w/in 3yrs, the next step is to apply for VSC but u mentioned that there's also an expiration for this...how long is the validity of the VSC anyway & what is VSC for? ( sorry for sounding stupid, but i just want to understand everything before doin anything). and u mentioned in other threads that if one's CA application is about to expire after 3yrs bec. of no SSN they can renew it ( by submitting again the CA application form & fingerprint card) to make that file valid again...my question is, can i renew it only once when i know for sure that i already have the greencard & thus be able to fly to CA instead of renewing it every 3 yrs so as not to waste so much money from renewing ever now & then? thanks!

hi suzanne! focus on another country like what? how about new mexico? how would i know if the retrogression is over & can apply for foreign licensure? yes, im planning to gain work experience here first before working in a foreign land, i just want to not waste any time that's why i want to process my foreign licesure while looking for a hosp job here. tnx. hi! after reading this thread, i've decided that i'll apply for vermont for licensure as RN...my problem is, i already got my eligibility from the cali bon...is it ok to apply for another state (vermont)?? won't there be a problem if i have 2 existing application in 2 different states? what i plan to do after reading this thread: 1. apply for vermont for initial licensure as RN & pass toefel ( or is it ielets?) 2. after passing the nclex & getting the license, i'll apply for endoresement for licensure to cali. 3. apply for for visa screen is this correct? i hope i made the right decision this time... its sad that i only got to read this site only now, after i already spent much for my cali application =( .

hey is it true that nclex has only 2yrs validity?? if u didn't have visa screen w/in 2 yrs you'll have to take nclex again??

tnx for the info akoitoh, i guess dr. balita is not the review center for me if thats the case. yah i know pentagon is good but i've read some forums wherein the moderators here don't recommend those review centers that were involved in the june 2006 leakage exam coz it might affect your US employment in the future. geez, looking for a good review center is harder than i thought:o

hi silverdragon, letter of explanation regarding why i dont have a license to practice nursing yet, i recently just passed the local board exam here in the phils. butt the downloadable application indicated that for international graduates: attach a photocopy of your license OR diploma that allows u to practice professional nursing in the country where u were educated. i've already sent to cali BON my diploma before, do i still have to send them a letter of explanation?? thank you so much for ur reply.

hi suzanne! i applied for CA nclex & have submitted all my requirements already but i realized that there's need to have an explantion letter w/c i failed to include when i sent my bankdraft, fingerprintcard & diploma last august. is it ok if i send my explanation letter now? what should i do?? what's the content of the explanation letter?? thanks. im so confused =(
