I start monday the 28 as a Nurse Intern 1 on our Med/Surg unit! I've been laboring the last 6 years as a phlebotomist in our lab, but now I'm FREE!!! :balloons: I know it sounds silly but I am so excited to be able to finally put to use what I am learning on a daily basis!
Thanks for letting me spread the joy :rotfl:
Congratulations! Good for you! I'm thinking about doing the same next semester at one of the hospitals associated with my nursing school...most positions require two semesters of clinical--which I'm just finishing up so I'm going to look into it. There's some deal also that they will pay your tuition which I want to find more info about.
Congratulations! I was a nurse intern last summer and it was the best experience for me. I was paired with a wonderful preceptor who is now precepting me as a new grad. Not only will you get to practice the skills you have learned, you will meet many new people who will help you adjust to your new career when you are finished with school. Great Job!
thanks for the support everyone! i'm writting a letter to post in the lab for all the patients i've come to know and care about over the last 6 years to say goodbye. i'm calling it "a farewell to arms". lol!
congratulations!!!!!!!!
that is sooo exciting! someday i hope to be there too.
