I'm so bored with nursing school and my life right now. I'm 9 days away from pinning ( final is this thurs.)and 2.5 weeks away from getting married and yet I'm still very BORED. So far as NS goes... I'm just mentally burnt out. I still study every day but what should I do for the rest of the 23 hours of the day ???

So far as the wedding planning... every thing is pretty much set. I'm just waiting for the day to come. I still have little details to tend to but those things can wait.

My fiance and I don't live together so its not like I see him every day. I'm not really working that much. I've been applying for nursing jobs but stopped because I'd feel much more confident applying for jobs once I've taken and passed boards. I've been doing nclex questions too. I don't really have any friends to hang out with. Anyway, I'm just bored outta my mind and can't wait until my life takes a huge spin ! Anyone else bored ??

Enjoy it. You won't be bored forever. Take up a hobby, go see a movie. Enjoy these moments to yourself why you can!

Learn to knit! I took knitting classes while on bedrest with my 3rd. I really like it!

Knitting is the best! It's great because you can be social and still do it.

I also remember when my mom used to work nights in the ICU she'd always bring her knitting. A double plus!

Haha! Good for you!

Sounds like you need a good vacation/honeymoon! I think that feeling burned out at the end of nursing school is pretty normal. All my classmates were having their apathy meters pretty well pegged at the end of our program. You know that you want to do well, but you're so darn tired that you really don't care about pushing yourself much harder.

Do whatever you want to do - something fun.

Sounds like you're:

a) burnout and just need to relax (like, go shopping, go out for coffee and the newspaper, take the dog for a walk and sit in the park etc.)

or b) discontented in general. Do you really want to be a nurse or are you just doing it because that's what you've been doing with the last few years? Is there something missing? A hobby or more time with the hubby-to-be or... oh goodness, I don't know.
