Should I be a nurse: I am going to scream! How in the HE double hockey sticks are we supposed to know what is right for you?? I am sorry if I sound rude not my intent, but it just makes me wonder, do you have to have all your decisions made by another person if so you ARE going to have a hard time being a burse. I am a EMT and if I had to ask someone to do XYZ before I do what I know needs to be done, I would have a poor patient outcome. Sorry but this is getting old
Diva, I have to tell you, those bright red lips freak me out. Shades of Rocky Horror.
I am so glad you said that...because that is exactly what I was going for!!!!!
Uh, "How'd you do, I see you met my faithful handyman, he's just a little brought down, because, when you knocked, He thought you were the Candy Man!!!"............

Yea, that "Nurse Creed"...almost put me right over the edge:uhoh3:.......oh, please, chile...I did not pledge to Love, Honor Obey, and Nurse....or any thing of that sort...Jeez, I didn't even say obey in my wedding vows (at any of them...teehee)...There seems to be some um, would you say, misguided (naive?) nurses, who think we actually take some sort of oath or creed and then sing a song or anthem...let's see..(clears throat, mi mi mi mi)..here goes....
"Oh beautiful, Oh, reverant job, for ever shall we nurse.......
for Florence sake,
money we won't take.....
For that would be a curse"...
Oh, nursey now, oh nursey now...I am a nursey now and heaven know's, I'll die in support hose, but I will be a nurse............"
Thank you, thank you very much....

I was in college...and it's still going strong in a lot of places, on the weekends, complete with the shadow casts that act it out in front of the movie..I haven't gone in years, but it was loads of fun. We used to dress up like our favorite characters and yell the dialogue along with the actors. (I was always Magenta..those are the lips;))
They conveniently leave this info out.
I remembered one more:I called in sick the other day, because I was really too sick to work. The next day I found out that I was fired. How in the world!! Do they have right to fire me for this?!
hidden fact: chronic call ins/ tardiness/ many missing work days, etc. lol

If you're late 2 out of 4 shifts, and you call in sick 3 or 4 times a month, then probably eventually you will be fired. Duh.
I don't know why it is the pregnancy threads get under my skin so much. "I'm 30 seconds pregnant and I just got a new job. Should I tell?" I guess it's because it makes me feel like these are going to be the people who want to be treated like they're "oh so delicate," right off the bat.
Sure as gun's iron, we're gonna see a pregnancy thread within the next couple of weeks. I can feel it in my bones.
