Are you reading for "fun" right now instead of nursing books?

I just finished The Beach by James Patterson

I'm now reading I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb. Pretty good so far - it's over 800 pages and I'm only on 100 something.

I Know This Much is True is one of my all time favorites. I read voraciously on every break.

I am reading Peace Like a River by Leif Enger right now, it is excellent. Another great book I have read this break is Little Earthquakes by Jennifer Weiner.

James Patterson is my favorite author!I am currently reading SKIPPING CHRISTMAS by John Grisham now made into a movie CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS.I plan on reading MISTLETOE AND MAYHEM written by four authors.I love to read a good suspense thriller with an unexpected twist.

Dsickles,

I read Skipping Christmas a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was cute except the dad kind of bugged me. If you like suspense with unexpected twists you would love Harlen Coben, he writes excellent suspense books.

i have read "i know this much is true" it is a good book, you won't regret reading it.

i love to read. i can't afford to buy any new books, so i re-read my old ones, read my scrapbook magazines, etc.

Rose,

I get a lot of my books at thrift stores. I get bestsellers for between 1 and 4 dollars. Can you all tell I love to read!

I've been reading like a madwoman since the beginning of break. I managed to tackle Cider House Rules last weekend on tape driving from Wyoming to Illinois (straight through...what was I thinking). The book was so much better than the movie - putting aside personal beliefs on the subject matter.

I am trying to read "That's Why They Call Him the Lord" by Max Lucado, but get way too involved in Lifetime movies to read too much! :)

I listened to Nanny Diaries on tape (during my ridiculously long commute to school)... I loved it... very funny and sad at the same time.

Has anyone else read this? What a hoot!!

I think my dh just bought that one. Doesn't have something to do with grammar?

I just read Birth of Venus and The Time Traveler's Wife. :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that book. Two thumbs up!

I've been trying to finish up the copy of "Stiff (the curious lives of human cadavers)" that I've been working on for the past 6 months! That - and the copy of "Chicken Soup for the Girlfriend's Soul" that my best friend gave me for the holidays.

Watching too much TV and spending too much time on the computer, though... :chuckle

More about punctuation, and how it, or lack of, can completely change the meaning of what has been written. Author is British, so very dry humour.

Even my 8 and 11 yr olds have read it and appreciate what she is saying...

Let me know what you think once you have read it -- fairly light read.

I have considered reading both of those but haven't gotten to them in all my spare time ;)
