If you're on a break, are you reading for "fun"?

Are you reading for "fun" right now instead of nursing books?

I just finished The Beach by James Patterson

I'm now reading I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb. Pretty good so far - it's over 800 pages and I'm only on 100 something.

What good books are you reading right now?

I borrowed The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom from my mother, so I can read that one next.

I love to read fiction and missed it so much this past semester!

I read The Five People You Meet in Heaven, a good book and easy read. I finished it in two days or so.

I am currently reading Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl, and have given up on Anna Karenina, this was one Oprah pick I couldn't get into, even 300 pages or so.

Also a good one I finished is If the Buddha Married, very interesting perspective. Going through nursing school, my marriage needs all the help it can get!!!

Specializes in ER, ICU, Cardiac, Med-Surg.

Who wrote this one? It sounds interesting.

You and I seem to have similar tastes in reading. :)

I'm with y'all!! Reading for pleasure is what I've missed most! I began the Holidays with meaningless trash such as US Weekly, In Touch, and Star. I have since graduated to James Patterson's The Big Bad Wolf.

I must admit that I had a moment of weakness and went out & purchased a Med-Surg Nursing Made Easy book to read....just to get ready for this semester! I'm also going to purchase my books today...some people are already reading...I don't want to miss out! :chuckle

Pathetic lives of Nursing Students!!!

Happy Studying!
