So I have to move away and start a new job, but I totally love my current unit and co workers. I want to give them a goodbye treat to say thanks/I'll miss you and kind of have a going away party on my last night at work. I'm trying to think of a good idea though about what food to do. So far my ideas are: yummy Costco cake? chinese take out? sushi? pizza? What is something YOU would like to eat as a treat on your floor? I know we all usually gobble up anything that tastes remotely good whenever someone brings in food, but I want it to be a little more exciting than just cookies or candy.
Chocolate is always a hit. When I was on South Beach diet I always appreciated a veggie tray (so did the diabetics), but you can't get caught up in trying to satisfy every person's dietary restrictions. I'm just saying sometimes it's nice having an option to sweet (though I'm not good and dig in like everyone else now).
I brought in brownies made from a mix once and everyone raved about them like I had invented the brownies.
When I left my last job, I made my shift an Italian dinner -- minestone, antipasta, lasagna, chicken piccata, salad, homemade bread, and we had ice cream sundaes. They always commented on my recipes when we had a get together, so I put my "greatest hits" on index cards and scattered them on the table. I invited people from the other floors, and we ate like food was about to outlawed.
If a patient had coded, we would have all burst, we were stuffed!

Food is always appreciated - enough for everyone.
A hand-written note to each person with a comment or two that is very specific to that person with a copy to their personnel file.
A gift to the unit ( I can't think of what right now) that your name can be engraved on.
Best wishes!!
