Asking administration for help is a no no, they tell you this school may not be for you. I finished the program, and waiting to take my exit. Was an Lvn for 8 years, and I’m scared to take the test! If you put in the hard work and do really well on exams, you won’t have a problem. I recommend that you don’t have a job and focus on school. I worked full time and luckily my job understood when I needed time off. I must say…it wasn’t a walk in the park and it was extremely hard. You won’t know until you try! If u decide to go there do it bc you believe in yourself, don’t listen to others or me. Everyone has their own experiences, Best of luck to all of you! Hope we all pass and graduate with our RN!

I agree with you as well. Never ask admin for help. I've heard what some say when we have break out rooms and people talk, I stay super quiet. Another girl blurted out in a zoom meeting how they gave her a zero on a test and the admin was unreasonable and making her fail. That puts a giant red flag. The 2 instructors had to stop her when she was blasting the school. Test rules are simple...do look away, don't have your phone, don't talk to anyone, no headphone, no hoodies..shouldn't have an issue if you follow the rules. Good Luck with your test. I sure am nervous for my finals next week. been studying non stop. It honestly has not been that bad of a program. I read many bad bad reviews and I still enrolled. It's a ton of work but in the end we are going to be responsible for people's lives and safety.I wouldn't want a nurse that cheated her way through school so I understand the new policies and rules the school put in place.

Congrats to you & all your accomplishments! I know it hasn’t been a easy ride getting as far as you have. I wish you well on the exit exam & NCLEX. I understand the fear of the unknown and wanting to be over with it all so you can be an RN. Yes, my job is also flexible and I’ve been here for 3 1/2 years and have no intention on leaving since they’re assisting with my tuition and I enjoy my job/co workers. They also support my schedule for school as well. Thank you for coming by and sharing your exp with us. I’m absorbing all this valuable knowledge from you all.

Wow OK. I have had good experiences with stafff so far but we will see what happened. I am finishing Algebra this week. It was hard but the Professor was cool so we are able to get through.

I start Nursing core next month and have a group for us starting we will definitely have to study together and stay focused .

Thank you so much for all the feedback.

Prerequisites are fine with good teachers, I had to take a couple of classes and they were great, it’s the nursing classes and clinical. It can get pretty intense. Good luck with everything

I have been told the Pre-reqs are much easier than nursing core, so I think a lot of ppl who aren’t equipped or well prepared will have a rude awakening once school begins. I’m sure the school is used to it though, Losing students. I’m going to be studying independently, I study best on my own. A nice coffee shop, bookstore, park, or my office will do with my lo-fi music.

Nursing core is seriously no joke! It was even that way in my LVN program. We lost a lot of ppl that underestimated the program, attempted to cheat, couldn’t meet attendance requirements, or just simply couldn’t pass the exams. It happens in every program, but it’s up to us to rise above and achieve our goal.

I’m wishing us all the best in reaching our goals.

I sure wish going all at once is an option.

Clinical  practice, absorption and application is expected to coincide with the theory. This school gets away with a lot..not having a course focus coincide with clinical hours and practice when the actual course content  is taught ...Don't push your luck. The school is tottering on the cliff with accreditation and with having the clinical in a "chunk".

Yeah I did the 1st term.in LVN but ended up having to relocate back home from military. It was intense but I held an A in the 1st term.

I can work alone or as a group. I don't mind the group because we can brainstorm and sometimes add to studies to increase everyones knowledge together.

Someone may have information that was missed by others so it can be beneficial.

We shall see when next month comes.

Has anyone from California did clinicals??

If so how much was the approximate cost for all the travel expenses??

Completing 1st term is not the same as graduating from the program, though I do understand your reasoning for leaving due to military duties. LVN school is no joke & I don’t expect any different from this program.

a lot of side talking is done in groups and nothing is completed as fast and thorough as I myself can get it done, in my opinion. But by all means, you have the right to your beliefs on what works for you. I simply am in the group to network & troubleshoot travel with others & simply to stay in contact with my future classmates. Not so much for bundling up in groups to study.

According to everyone’s responses that I’ve spoken to and everyone that has ever posted here, it seems clinicals are being done toward the end of the program. I can’t recall anyone in the past or recent post that went every semester.

Also, an estimate has been mentioned a few times as well. Approx $10,000+ for expenses of plane tickets, hotel reservations for multiple days while we’re in FL, and rental car of course, as we don’t know how commutable our hotel will be from our clinical sites until we self- schedule. I think having a good savings is key for attending this program. I made sure to save for this because I just bought a home & I don’t want any more loans. That’s not including the cost to eat, toiletries & gas for the rental car.

Yes the students that were going through the program during the covid pandemic was able to push their clinicals towards the end but that is not the case anymore. They no longer offer it and We have to go once a semester now.

I wish we could push it all to the end.

I’m sorry you must be misinformed, I have ppl I know that attend and they haven’t gone at all. My cousin is also in 2nd semester and hasn’t gone yet. So I’m not sure where you got that from. Availability is based on what they have at the moment, and first come first serve basis. When they open the slots you have to get them while they are available.

The reps are telling students it’s back to normal,

but there’s still a delay. Just not COVID related as I mentioned in my earlier post. Even the previous poster stated they haven’t gone yet either. My co worker also is attending and takes her finals this week. She hasn’t gone once yet. Taking exit soon. Graduates in Jan.

My co worked actually is going to ask them if they can find her placement so she can finish it all out at the end. And to my knowledge that’s how it’s still going at the moment. Due to availability. They admit a lot of students and majority aren’t from FL.
