Hello! Is there anybody who will be attending International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) in Florida in 2022?

The changes you cant blame the school. People cheated and created what is happening now. A school should not lose accreditation because a few people did not want to do the work. I know I would not want that person as my nurse! But when I say study I mean read chapters multiple times, do you extra practice questions and know your labs! I have even purchased extra books to help with these classes.

Thank you! Great advice. I had those same practices in school & that’s how things stick for me is with repetition. I love Kathy Parkes (level up RN), simple nursing on YT. I’ve heard the practice questions are helpful for the exams. And I totally agree, a school  shouldn’t lose its accreditation because of a few loose screws. That’s sad, yeah I don’t want those cheaters as my nurse or my families either!

Yes, the practice questions help you to understand a different way of thinking. The instructors will tell you this all throughout the course.

Oh and I wanted to thank you for those tips on how to prepare for the APA. I just recognized your username and your comment was the one I screenshot so I could prep for my exam. I used the books you said to. I was successful! Passed both.

Oh thats great. Congrats. Just know going here... there will be changes. Try to just go with it and study study study. If you work, I would drop to part time if you can. There is just not enough hours in the day to work, complete assignments and study. So far I really like my Med-Surg instructor. And the psych instructions are great to. Just remember do not ask about the tests! I've seen some students get reprimanded for breaching test policy and asking even how many questions are on the test. You would think simple questions but they do not allow it. I follow the rules and study my butt off and will keep doing that. Best of Luck to you! Really this is not a bad school. Just harder than it was previously.

I’ll keep my mouth shut, my head down in my books & my focus on finishing this program. The same thing happened in my LVN program, students not following specific rules & being reprimanded for it. I don’t want a target on my back & I have a chill vibe about me so I don’t have to worry about drama.

Do you know when you’ll be going for clinicals? My co worker is heading into capstone and she still hasn’t gone, but she said the other day that she thinks she’s going soon because she graduates in 1/2023

Do you know when you’ll be going for clinicals? My co worker is in capstone and she still hasn’t gone, but she said the other day that she thinks she’s going soon because she graduates in 1/2023

We have not heard anything about going to clinicals yet. I actually wouldnt mind going all at 1 time though. Our class is suppose to graduate in May 2023. So I wouldnt mind waiting till then. I feel like going at one time would be less stressful than trying to fly back and forth and do classes.

Yes! That’s what my co worker and I were saying. She said at this point she wouldn’t mind just spending a good month and a half down straight down there if they have the availability for sites. So I told her that’s a good idea and see if they can accommodate that. Just knock it all out! Especially since it’s the tail end of the program for her. No sense in flying back in forth. Only thing holding her back from graduating 1/2023 would be not completing the hours. But she already said it’s not backed up due to COVID anymore, it’s just availability at sites, the amount of students they have to rotate in and out of sites & of course the students availability too (taking time off work and such) She’s doing well so far, proud of her. My cousin is in FON & she had to drop down to part time as well. She’s a CNA.

That is what we were told as well. We may not be going till may next year the way it looks. But yes, I have no problem going 1 time and staying for a month. I have a co worker graduating this month and her class is going jan/feb. Im assuming your friends class is going feb/march and my class is next so maybe April??? I sure wish going all at once is an option.

The program was 12 months for you? Since you passed APA, right?

Asking administration for help is a no no, they tell you this school may not be for you. I finished the program, and waiting to take my exit. Was an Lvn for 8 years, and I’m scared to take the test! If you put in the hard work and do really well on exams, you won’t have a problem. I recommend that you don’t have a job and focus on school. I worked full time and luckily my job understood when I needed time off. I must say…it wasn’t a walk in the park and it was extremely hard. You won’t know until you try! If u decide to go there do it bc you believe in yourself, don’t listen to others or me. Everyone has their own experiences, Best of luck to all of you! Hope we all pass and graduate with our RN!
