GIRL! DO NOT GO HERE!! I promise you, you will waste a lot of money and time. Before enrolling I read the reviews and chose to ignore them & thought my experience might be different. I was wrong! Believe the reviews, believe the students. This school does not care for the students academic success. So many things wrong with this, they’re unethical, they ignore your emails, they change their policy according to their liking. You don’t get proper learning materials or study guides. This school needs to get shut down.

Hey guys, sorry to join in so late. I am starting ICHS in October of 2022 if everything goes well (as in they receive my fingerprints on time etc). I have my Advanced Placement exam on September 16th and I was just wondering what study materials you guys used to prepare for the APA exam. I'm reviewing pharm math and tomorrow will be medications but I just wanted some insight on what to expect. I am in central/southern California and I am doing the online courses and plan on flying out there to Florida for clinicals and rent an Airbnb for however long my stay is. I feel like I am under estimating the program. I did lvn nursing school on campus and online when the pandemic hit and the difference between them was I was finished with all my work by 7pm during on campus school and during online school I'd be done with my work by 11pm at night. I'm not sure what to expect and I read a comment as for the school not giving us study materials for exams...what did you guys use for studying. I'm nervous I've already pulled out the loan for it so I can't go back. Anything insight would be greatly appreciated, maybe hopefully I find an online group study so we can work together during my schooling.

Hello,

I am starting October as well. We have a few people starting that is in a separate forum and we have a facebook group.

For the Advanced testing, Enrollment Advisor said no study materials are given, they test you off of your knowledge. Some LVNs buy and Fundamentals and Pharmacology textbook and study.

I have heard it is alot of work during the classes, some felt there was not enough material to help study for exams.

Clinicals are once a semester. I was told 1st semester is 10 days, 2nd semester is 14 days, 3rd is 16 days and 4th semester 21 days. Not including travel to FL and back home.

I am in Northern California.

Here the facebook group if you want to join.

It is more geared to non LVNs but there are LVNs in the group. One was speaking of creating one for LVNs who pass APA to skip fund and pharm.

They are asking you for fingerprints?

How do they want you to get them?

I have yet to see that one.

Ink Fingerprints (not livescan) are required during the complio process. And I would say the program isn’t catered mainly to non LVNs because they allow LVN/LPN to test out of 2 classes to advance to the 2nd semester. The longer option is catered to people with no healthcare degree and/or no pre reqs.

Hi! I’m an LVN here in Northern CA. I took my APA exam last month & passed both fundamentals & pharm.

I prepped by going over all subjects I needed a refresher in, but I noticed MNB, MS, PEDS sprinkled in among the FON questions. HESI based, so study current/up to date HESI materials, if possible. The math isn’t as bad as you would expect, but still prep if you haven’t used dosage calc in a while outside of school.

You’ll receive your results within 5 days from the date of your exam. They’ll email you letting you know if you pass or fail. After that, if all is settled with your FA, they’ll send over your docusign to finalize your contract with the school. You’ll get to see all payment plan, class info, and estimated completion date on the docusign contract. Read very carefully and take screenshots. I graduate next Sept 2023.

You misread. I said the facebook group is mostly for non LVN, not ICHS.

My Complio doesn't have fingerprinting. Maybe it will show up later.

I don’t recall the group being mostly for non LVNs when it was initially created by the initial group creator. It was just for those to start in October 2022. I think it just so happens there are more ppl who aren’t nurses/no exp signing up, tbh.

Interesting, yea I definitely paid for ink fingerprints at my local ups store. They rolled each finger in ink onto a paper & I mailed it in a protective envelope to prevent bending to a company in FL called IdentiGo. This was a couple months ago. I’m fully compliant on complio.

I joined the group, Im rusty when it comes to pharmacology and fundamentals. I'm really hoping I can pass and test out of pharm and funds. I have both my textbooks so I'm going to review pharmacology medications tomorrow. And fundamentals the next. Still debating on whether to use UWorld or boardvitals to study. I feel prepared but also nervous because I have a one year old so I'm hoping I don't fail and can keep my head above water.
