I took the NCLEX-RN today(05/22/06)

Published

I stopped at 75 questions. I feel really bad. This is the 2nd time I took it. The first time was 2 months ago and I barely remembered any questions right after the exam. I was too nervous and ended up getting 85 questions.

This time I was nervous,too,..not as bad as last time. I didn't know lots of the answers and kept guessing all the time. I feel I failed... I want to cry~~~I dont know what to do...sigh....I'll check the results tomorrow.Hope it's availble...I'll lose confidence and courage if I fail 2nd time.

Good luck to all !

Just FYI you sign a declaration not to release ANY information about the questions on the content of the NCLEX. Also, there are up to 250 questions of which you may only get 75 (min) or anywhere in between and everyone gets different questions based on the computer's analysis of where you answer... Usually you get a variety to start and they they get progressively more "critical thinking, priority, etc", but there are no hard rules. The only constant I have heard is if it shuts off at 75 you either passed, or failed miserably. Mine shut off at 75 and I passed.

When you go into take the exam you sign a statement, several times (at least I had to), that you will NOT share any info about the questions presented to you during the exam. If you DO share any of this info your license will be revoked and I don't think anyone here wants that to happen. These boards are monitored very closely and we don't post actual questions that we got on the test.

By the way Jen A VERY BIIIIIG CONGRATS!!! 36_2_68.gif

Good luck to all nurses and nurses-to-be!!!

Thanks again & God bless you all!

I took mine May 22nd also and found out today I passed. I had to use quick results. What state are you in for the BON to issue licenses that fast? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I am just curious. I am in NC. Congrats to you, and best of luck. I am sure you will be a great nurse.

hello Jen!

can u share the questions or topics in your NClex TEst ... thanks

Congratzzzz

I know luvmy2angels posted a great answer to that question, but I am glad we can't share questions. I can't remember any of mine completely. I can remember the main point but not all the options, etc. pg5 I am not the OP but if you want help with NCLEX, just remember to study how to triage, what is life threatening or not, and how to prioritize. That will help you bunches. Also, I didn't have very many, but Kaplan told us to know our lab values backwards and forwards.

congratulations!!!!! i didn't check mine yet... so stressed already!!!!!

DON'T FEEL BAD. I TOOK THE NCLEX 5/23 FOR THE 4TH TIME. IT IS THE WORST FEELING HAVING TO WAIT FOR YOUR RESULTS. IN BALTIMORE, WE CAN GO THE OUR BOARD OF NURSING WEBSITE TO CHECK TO SEE IF OUR NAME IS POSTED WITH RN. IT USUALLY POSTS WITHIN 72 HRS. IF YOUR NAME DOESN'T COME UP, YOU PREETY MUCH KNOW WHAT THAT MEAN; THE BIG BROWN ENVELOPE IS COMING IN THE MAIL. I'M SOOOO ANXIOUS AND NERVOUS RIGHT NOW AS IF ITS THE VERY FIRST TIME. I HAVE BEEN PRAYING AND PRAYING FOR A BLESSING. ONLY GOD NOWS. I KNOW I'VE STUDIED, AND ANSWERED QUESTIONS. I FELT CONFIDENT WITH MOST OF MY ANSWERS, BUT THAT IS HOW I FELT BEFORE.:banghead:

congratulations to those who passed esp. jen and mhull!!!:balloons:

good luck to those who are still waiting for their results!:saint: god bless!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You must be so proud! Seriously, if you read the posts and talk to people I have never talked to ONE person who felt good about that test when they came out of there. I guess it's meant to be hard for a reason. But, I know when I took the LVN boards I felt the same way. Came out of there, saying, "what in the world was that?" I take my RN boards next month, and hoping I remember these posts when I finish the test.
