Thank you so much for the encouragement.... My husband isn't very good at helping me with advice or the encouragement I need. I really want this. And I know now after chatting with you, That I can do this. I just don't want my family to suffer from it.... going from sitter to sitter or the questions of " where is mommy or when is she coming home?" I do have one more question if you don't mind, I'm taking a practical nursing program @ a Career college...at the end I can take my exam for my liscense....Is this school going to be good enough or should I look for some place different?
I'm not sure what a career college is? Is it like a technical school or is it like a community college?
The only thing I would say is go somewhere that you have to take pre-req's because you never know you may want to someday bridge over to a RN program and you would need pre-req's for that. Just check everything out to know your options.
But as long as it is an accredited school and are recognized by your state I don't see it being a problem.
Good luck, you will be so glad you did it. :)
It's Called Miami Jacobs Career College... here in Dayton, Ohio.. I didn't do too much research on the college....I trusted my student advocate too much... I do believe that there are pre req's... I think I'll be ok...I need to do some investigating to be sure....Thank you again.....SOOOOO MUCH!!!
Congrats!!! I am hoping for some advice...I have 3 kids 4yr,2yr, and 8 months... I'm currently in school...practical nursing....Lpn schedules are pretty demanding....you think This is a career for a mom with such young children?
of course you can do it becos my friend has 4kids and graduated and now has her lpn license
