I took the NCLEX PN exam on July 1st. I thought for sure I failed. I cried for 2 days. I called yesterday for the unofficial results over the phone and it said I passed. How reliable is that? Did I really pass or has there ever been mistakes that anyone knows of b/c I thought I did horrible, I would have bet my life that I failed.

A lot of us leave there 99.9% unsure of whether we passed or failed. The majority of those who are 100% they failed pass. As strange as it seems, it looks like you passed. Congratulations!

Hi! I felt the exact same way as you! I took NCLEX-RN on July 1 and felt so crappy after and felt I did badly on it. I too checked the quick results on Sunday and know I passed now. The quick results are very reliable. You really did pass!!!!! :) Congratulations!

Congrats!! How I wish we (in Calif.) also have an "unofficial site" to check for results as quickly as some of the other states. I took my nclex-pn on June 20th and still waiting around for the results. I answered 85 questions-either I did great or horribly for it to shut off!!! How many questions did you do?

I found this in a thread in the CA forum. You can go to this website for California and search for your name. Your name will appear if you passed and were issued a license.

It can still be a couple of weeks. Results for the PN exam usually takwe aobut one month in CA, then you have to go thru the rest of the process. It is not like other states, you do not pay your licensure fee in CA until after you have passed NCLEX-PN.
For the RN exam, it depends on how quick that your school sends in transcripts, CA will not post a license until it receives the transcript. That is what is taking so long............

Congrats!! :balloons:
The waiting is the worse. I called the quick results twice just to make sure I didn't put in the wrong numbers b/c I was sure I failed. I had close to 100 questions. I know I had a couple wrong for sure b/c I looked them up when I got home. They had to do with different cultures and what to do with the dead bodies. I get confused as to what all the cultures do. I can't keep them straight, but I can tell you I sure won't forget now.
