I'm really worried I took a drug test at 12:30 pm and took a 25mg of seroquel at 9:30pm the night before. Will that show up as anything? Will I have to retest/not be accepted?

Donyou have a prescription for Seroquel?
No my girlfriend gave me one
You're in trouble. What was the reason for the test?
Employment. I heard the half life is 6 hours and I only took 25mg, I figured that would be a really small dose and not show up after all that time?
Are you a nurse?

Now that's a new one. Google the drug. Not likely to show up on a typical drug screen unless they're checking you for antipsychotics.

And you took Seroquel why?
Probably won't show up on a drug screen, but why did you choose this medication to take?
Because I can't sleep for more than 2 hours at a time at night

I'm sorry but self-medicating with random medications given to you by someone else is all sorts of stupid. If you're a nurse you should know better. If you aren't, take it from those of us who are and who do...go see your primary care provider or a clinic or whatever you can afford and get some proper treatment before something much worse than sweating drug test results happens to you.

It depends on the panel they use for the initial screen, but if they screen for it then yes, you might be in trouble. You took a (non-scheduled) prescription medication without a prescription, you committed a crime, a less severe crime than using a controlled med, but still a crime. It's quite possible that if anti-psychotics were screened for and you tested positive without a valid prescription that you will be denied employment.
